As Peter Parker learned in Spiderman 3, sometimes if "feels good to be bad." And if you were an investor in a bank or brokerage stocks this week, you know what he meant. This week, financial institutions reported precipitous declines in profits and took billions more in write-downs, and yet they managed to be one of the best performing sectors this week. Sentiment, a continual drag on the market, appears at least to be turning some type of corner. For how long that improved outlook lasts will remain a crucial question as we round out the rest of earnings season. But if the fabulous results from Tech Titans Google, Intel and IBM are any indication, we could be in for some more gains next week. And with that, let's turn our attention to the money -making opportunities that await us next week. The encore in tech earnings will begin on Tuesday when Google's struggling rival Yahoo report results. Yahoo has traded up on the wake of Google's earnings, but to what extent has Google's pleasure been at the Yahoo's expense? Also, to what extent do Google's fantastic results validate Microsoft's (which reports earnings Thursday) bid for Google? Also on deck will be earnings from Amazon and eBay. Names you love to interact with and, even more importantly, love to trade. The other slew of earnings will come from the drug stocks when Merck, Schering Plough and Bristol Myers release quarterly results. We saw how generic competition and a declining pipeline have hurt Pfizer. The question going forward: was Pfizer's numbers just a bitter pill, or are drug stocks in general a prescription for disaster? We'll also get a slate of industrial and chemical names too, so there will be something for everyone, giving even more opportunities to make Fast Money. All the news can be hard to decipher, so that's why you need to tune in more than ever in the next few weeks. Remember, an open market is a market in which you can make money. So I hope you join us all next week. is a market in which you can make money. So I hope you join us all next week. .
