The Final Trade

The Final Trade Fast Money Weeknights
The Top 3
Here are the Top 3 stories that may make you money next week:

Has a rate cut already been priced into the market?1
Adami: Yes, trade carefully heading into next week's earnings..

Are the brokers a buy ahead of earnings next week?
Macke: Lehman is a buy.

Is the return of the rumor mill a bullish sign for stocks?
Finerman: Don't buy into the rumors.

How To Trade Like The Fast Money Guys
The only education worth your money is the Fast Money Trade School

Don't let a bad trade become a long-term investment. Over the long-haul, what separates the best traders from the also-rans isn't winning on every trade but the discipline to close out the losers. It's hard to admit you're wrong but Fast Money traders know that once the catalyst is over, the trade is done. Take your hit, learn your lesson and never, ever, let a failed short term idea turn into a long term lemon. Remember... hope is not a viable investment thesis.

Where's the Money?

Is it a buy or a sell? Next week, the Fast Money Five tell you how to read the street’s biggest events so your fast money stays fast

Life in the Fast Lane
Guy Adami Vacation Is Something I Don't Like

One word not in my vocabulary is vacation. Even when I am not physically present on Wall Street, my mind is on the markets. I'm all business whenever the market is open for business. You might ask, though, what about vacation? The answer is simple: I always have one eye on the screen. I look for opportunities when other people are at the beach because I believe that Fast Money never sleeps. Low volumes provide an opportunity to make a quick buck because movements in stocks on light trading days are often exaggerated. Now, a few pieces of advice about sell-offs: 1) Stay calm because panicking is the worst thing you can do. 2) You can't trade harder, you can only trade smarter. 3) In these moments, reassess your risk tolerance and match it against the fundamental story of what's going on in the market. And finally, 4) Don't listen to your gut, listen to your head.

Now the fun begins my friends. Next week will mark the most significant Fed meeting in nearly seven years. That a rate cut is coming is considered a virtual certainty on Wall Street. But by much the Fed will cut its target rate is still a matter of debate. Also up for debate: has the market already priced in a move by the nation's top Money Men? The Fast Money will be watching. Also on the Fast Money agenda: broker earnings. We start with Lehman on Tuesday and then Bear and Goldman on Thursday. This will be the first reporting quarter since the subprime slime reared its ugly head. How much will it take out of earnings, and more importantly, how much will the subprime situation affect earnings going forward? Already, those companies have shed billions in market cap. Is there more to come? As always, an open market is one in which you can make money, and we will try to do that all next week. I hope you join us. Dylan .
