The market will be transfixed on two things next week: Speed, and Distance. I'm not referring to how fast the Wall Street set can make it out to the Hamptons. I'm talking about how fast and by how much Fed Chief Ben Bernanke will cut interest rates. Are we looking at a quarter point? A half-point? We he cut before the Fed is scheduled to meet? The Fast Money will be watching. In the absence of major earnings and economic news, conferences could help set the tone for trading. Key among those gatherings: the Bear Stearns Healthcare Conference, where we will hear from Biotech giants AMGN and WYE. If we learned anything this Summer, it's that a lack of news can often be the most dangerous of trading environments. But with market volatility, opportunity knocks, and even in a tough tape, you can make Fast Money.
