FORD RESULTS: Ford is just one of the American motor companies that struggled through 2007 as foreign competition mounted, consumers tightened their purse strings, and credit got crunched. Ford has been closing plants and laying off workers as it works through a restructuring plan with the goal of returning to profitability by 2009. Will the fourth quarter earnings show signs of the road back to profitability? Phil LeBeau has a First-on-CNBC interview with Ford CEO Alan Mulally during Power Lunch.

TECH EARNINGS: After a period of strength, tech stocks have lost some traction in the market. Three major tech companies report earnings Thursday: AT&T and Nokia report earnings before the bell, Microsoft reports after the bell. Will the earnings releases lift stock prices? Jim Goldman reports.
